The Poisonous Consort — story

Olivia Doyle finds herself suddenly transmigrated to ancient times, waking up in the body of a disinherited legitimate daughter of the Doyle family who shares her exact name. But her new chance at life in this historical fantasy setting turns perilous in an instant. She barely has time to process her sudden rebirth before she is brutally betrayed.

In a shocking act of cruelty, her own maids prick her with a deadly poisoned needle and ruthlessly push her off a steep cliff.
